What is Hellbent?

Hellbent is a series I began developing in freshman year of college, based on a one off story board I made in class.

The series follows a demon who is disenchanted with her life in Hell and a jaded nun living in a convent for convenience. The story focuses on the complexities of their blossoming romantic relationship as traumatized individuals who’s lifestyles couldn’t be more different.

A lot of the story has changed over the years, the slideshow above is my Junior year pitch for finals. This is a passion project that allows me to explore my interest in character driven storytelling as well as a way to explore stigmatized and less talked about themes in media. It is important to me to write about how childhood trauma effects our relationships later in life
